Amber Haskell - Board Secretary
I'm a recent graduate from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. I am currently the Corporate Citizenship Coordinator at MFS Investment Management in Boston, where I help create and foster nonprofit partnerships. I have been connected to the Tulen Foundation since I was 10 years old. My early training made me a strong believer in making sure that every child has a voice and the ability to protect themselves no matter how big or small they are. I have taught self-defense classes around the country and was one of the first recipients of the Tulen Foundation College Scholarship Awards. You can find out more about me here.
Emily Ahsoon - Board Member
I am a Bay Area Montessori elementary school teacher. I began training when I was 9 years old in Portland, Oregon. Since the beginning of my training, I have been inspired by the teachers and lessons that this community has given me. I have taught martial arts and self-defense classes to kids and adults for over 20 years across the West Coast and Hawaii, in classrooms, community centers, and universities. I am committed to empowering others through the work of the Tulen Foundation in self-defense trainings and College Scholarship Awards. You can find out more about me here.
